It's wednesday morning, the clock showed 07.30 WIB, and my brother escorted me to GOR Pajajaran to faced the IGO Tournament 2008. I already wore Taruna Bakti official jersey from home, the grey one with blue strips on the side. I was proud because the design of our jersey was original. You know, didn't copy any team's design. But, the font on the front is almost same like Golden State Warriors..

Then, when I arrived there, my teammate already stayed there. The opening ceremony also almost started when I just arrived. Before the opening ceremony started, all of the attendance must sang our national anthem, INDONESIA RAYA. Wow! Its just like we'll play for our country against other country! I'm very proud baby!
We already knew that we'll play in the veryfirst game. (wow) against SMPN 5B. SMPN 5 sent 2 teams, SMPN 5A and 5B, we had to faced the B team. So, after the ceremony finished, we directly got ready and went to the court. We started to did the warming up, lay-up and three point practicing, etc. When the MC announced our team name, the crowd shouting with yeah, some hysteria. Seems the crowd love and support us! :)
Because of the crowd and our burning spirit to win the championship, we promised to play like a group of evils. I mean, play with full spirit.
Before the match started, the comittee asked both teams to took a photo together, here's the photo:
Then, before the tip off, our coach, Mr. Ate said, "Okay guys, in this match, we focus on DEFENSE. You understand? If we do the defense well, we'll got the bonus, its the great offense. And dont forget for the bigmen, REBOUND! Okay, When I say Tarbak, you all say DEFENSE, understand? Okay, lets try," Then we huddling up together...
The first line-up are Adit, Dimas, Mus, Mbe and Bintang. On the opponent team, there is the ex-Tarbak student, Fatahillah. He moved when he was in primary school to other school.
The match was very exciting. On the first quarter, we trailed behind 5 points, but we can made it level later.
Then Mr.Ate asked us to did an agressive defense, it means we must disturb the opponent while they are attacking us. And it runs! That's great.
The final score is we won 19-15. I guess the best player in this match was Mbe, cause he contributed a lot for TB. hahaha...
Yea, I didn't play in this match, but it's okay. That still not my time.
After we won from that match, we looked at the tournament table and we realized that our next opponent was SMP Aloysius BN. Wow! They're great, you know!
We're scheduled to play against them on Friday, 19 Dec 2008, in 17.45 WIB. Weww...
On the friday, I can't join them play because I had some test in my english course, so I couldnt come. But, there are still another bad news, Mbe can't play too because of sick, and all of TB players weren't in the top condition, some of them had minor injury, some got exhausted, etc
Even though I didn't come, but I prayed for their success in the match...After the test, yeah its about 19.00 WIB, I texted my friend, Tom (he entered TB team too) and asked about the result. And when he replied, I shocked, because he said we lost 24-53! We lost with 29 points....awful! But it's okay friend, because of that huge losing, we realized that we still not the best team. However, we must keep practicing and training...
